This is my last Thankful of the summer, so let's see what they will be like starting from next week… I may skip a few if I get very-very busy, but since this hop is so beneficial to my well-being, I will give my best to be a part of it as much as I can.

Ten Thing of Thankful #18
First—Live Captions and Translation.
Found an add-on for Firefox called CaptionGo—which may still be a bit off at times with certain translations, but is quite good for watching content from creators who do not create it in a language I understand. So, say someone uploads a video in Hindi; this thing creates captions from the speech and then translates those captions into English…
The CaptionGo free model only gives you 30 minutes of use per day; however, I use Deepgram API for transcription, which gave me 476 hours for free. It's equivalent to watching 238 two-hour movies, so it should be plenty for a while.
Second—School begins tomorrow.
So I have come to Tallinn, and while I was naturally sad to leave my own home, I have people here who truly feel like family and a tiny room to study and sleep in…
My second mum was actually crying on my return, saying that she missed me so much, which was so sweet because I actually kinda missed them too—a lot. So today we did nails, cooked together, and enjoyed my last day before school. I didnät do my own though… they look kinda bad lol.
Third—Visited mum.
I also saw my sister, missed them so much, and we had a great time yesterday as my Tallinn family also came to surprise my mum for her birthday…
My mum was so happy, as she did not know we were coming at all, and we spent the whole day together, even made a small campfire and stuff…
I also took a lot of photos of pretty flowers, lol. They are on my Instagram.
Fourth—Music.
I didn't listen to anything I haven't already mentioned on this blog, but DUM SPIRO SPERO by Dir en grey has been one of my favorite albums ever since it was released, and I did have it on this week.
Fifth—Six Sentence Stories.
I already mentioned in my last Six how grateful I am to be part of this awesome crowd of writers. I will give my best to be on time every week during school for this one specifically. I will say, though, that I may have trouble during exam periods and when I am studying for some tests, but I already know that if I don't write, I will do worse lol…
Sixth—dVerse Poets.
During school, I will link up some of my old poetry from the Margins to OLN and write new things when the muse attacks me. Since I usually edit my poems in a cycle (a few times), I may be too late to create new things for the right prompts, so I am describing the worst-case scenario lol. But since poetry is my lifeblood, I don't want to be missing this one either.
Seventh—my laptop.
I can carry it around and study and write wherever I am. It is such a big part of my life right now that I cannot imagine being without it. I do have a big gaming rig at home I built myself a few years ago, but it is not exactly, portable…
Eight—cats.
I truly adore cats. I don't have any in my own home since I am living in a rental. However, I do have one here, and at my mum's there are two, and I have been petting and snuggling cats for three days. My clothes are full of fur, but I don't mind.
The one here—when I arrived, nobody was home yet—sat on the floor and stared at me for 15 minutes before he legit started meowing at me like: "Where the fuck have you been?!"
Ninth—TToT itself.
This particular blog-hop has a weird little thing that comes with it. It's a mood lifter. Some weeks I am staring at my laptop thinking, "The hell do I even have to be grateful for this week?" And then, when you start writing it, you actually notice how many of the good things in life are made up of little things. Or something like that, lol.
Tenth—Phones and Internet.
We literally have 5G everywhere, and we take it for granted. But I can call my boyfriend in another town wherever I am, with video! And send photos and whatever. I am always online, even in the fucking woods. So cool.
Some years ago, there used to be some hiccups at a few spots when I was travelling by train, but not anymore. For me, at least. My mum always says she calls my sister through Messenger because her regular phone calls are always dropping, LOL.

There's more of my work:

There is also a page for all of the poetry.

The IT studies blog in Estonian for a course at the university.
the Band "Chaos in Spring" is on YouTube, Spotify and other streaming services.
ok… don’t stay up too late (you have school tomorrow*)
Think about it this way… all the ‘prompts’ and fiction scenaria you’ll be exposed to… your TToT (and Sixes) will write themselves!!
(and yeah, if on occasion you stop at the SSC&B to study or pick the brains of one of the Proprietors… totally welcome.)
*lol never gets old**
** in my head ‘how funny it is’ as opposed to actual old
