This week I'm doing something a bit different—I'm letting my secondary life as an IT student leak into my creative life, as I had absolutely zero ideas for what to write, but this blog is my baby, the Sixers community are my friends, and I needed to step away from my studies for a bit.
I am a very chaotic, out-of-the-box-thinking type of person by my creative nature, and computers are fascinatingly stupid… this weird symbiosis and conflict between my creative side and my studies acts as a balancing factor.
I don't even know how to describe the stark difference between me creating or writing for my blog and me studying or troubleshooting something—one lets my brain create the chaos, while the other gives me chaos and asks me to figure out why the fuck it is happening.
The weekly prompts are provided by Denise and you can read many cool stories at the link-up.
Six Sentence Story | Chaos #1
On Monday, three of my course mates ran to me asking, "Why are you declaring this course for the Databases… we just came from the cyber one and gosh, it was great—come, you would like this!"
Well, me being me, I said that I need to compare the materials and see if I can listen to the lecturer for one and a half hours without my brain yeeting off—after half an hour of said lecture, I had already switched over…
Peer pressure in university is apparently a thing; besides, I can do it from home while yelling at my computer because it does EXACTLY what I told it to do without controlling my mouth… because this lady has the mouth of a fricken' sailor.
Then, in another course, I started my evening by staring down at PhpStorm thinking, "Fuck this shit, it's fricken' Monday!" then, a few hours, a few errors and a few "fucks" later, my assignment for Sunday was done because mama didn't raise a fricken' quitter and I can't mentally relax before everything works.
Then on Tuesday and Wednesday I thought to myself, oh shit, Networking Lab, I need to prepare… well, me being me, I thought, well, better do the assignment for another course first and set everything up so I can do my labs at 2 a.m. if I ever desire, so…
Then I sped through Cisco's course material as if I was on fire because this is the fricken' COOL SHIT, and there is no way I can accept anything but being well prepared—I spent hours crafting my notes, installed Packet Tracer with a !!!!SCRIPT I FOUND ON GITHUB???? because apparently LINUX support is a .deb file (umm, define inspecting every line… I can physically feel my VMs, distrobox/toolbox, and anyone who knows what I did out of laziness cringe…).

A lecturer who can hold the attention of a room is a gift to a student. And I absolutely concur that I also can’t settle and rest until a *job* is done — no matter what the job is. Soon weekend, and then you can relax. A bit. (grinning) Back home to your partner, I think.
Yes am going today already but there is no relaxing unfortunately. Because I don’t know how to. 😂
Also the lecturer thing is kinda personal, I don’t like to hear about anything else but the lecture material if am in a lecture… I am here to study and listen.
But that is very different from student to student and dependent on the course itself too.
