Six Sentence Story | Chaos #1 | My Life as a Student
This week I'm doing something a bit different—I'm letting my secondary life as an IT student leak into my creative life, as I had absolutely zero ideas for what to write, but this blog is my baby, the Sixers community are my friends, and I needed to step away from my studies for a bit. I am a very chaotic, out-of-the-box-thinking type of person by my creative nature, and computers are fascinatingly stupid… this weird symbiosis and conflict between my creative side and my studies acts as a balancing factor. I don't even know how to describe the stark difference between me creating or writing for my blog and me studying or troubleshooting something—one lets my brain create the chaos, while the other gives me chaos and asks me to figure out why the fuck it is happening. The weekly prompts...
a POEM IN SIX #3 | Prompt Word: FIRE | Linked to dVerse OLN
This week I came up with a prose/poem thingie for the six-sentence story hop. The weekly prompt words—this week it's FIRE—are provided by Denise. You can access all the entries and sixers of the week at the link-up. I have also linked it up at the dVerse Open Link Night, where you can find many super talented poets... You can check out their entries at the link-up. FIRE I think I have encountered some burns in my life... At the age of ten, I lit a match—it blew up in my face—and I smelt the flame erase my eyebrows, but it didn't stop me from smoking. Tried to flip a pancake with my fingersand I didn't feel a thing until the skin had melted—three and twenty years later—I still enjoy flipping them on a Sunday morning. Chugged whiskey from the bottle at the age of twelveas the boys cheered...
Ten Thing of Thankful #18 | Last Day-off
This is my last Thankful of the summer, so let's see what they will be like starting from next week… I may skip a few if I get very-very busy, but since this hop is so beneficial to my well-being, I will give my best to be a part of it as much as I can. You can join in or read other entries at the link-up. Ten Thing of Thankful #18 First—Live Captions and Translation. Found an add-on for Firefox called CaptionGo—which may still be a bit off at times with certain translations, but is quite good for watching content from creators who do not create it in a language I understand. So, say someone uploads a video in Hindi; this thing creates captions from the speech and then translates those...
Short Story | Absence
Short Story | Absence I haven't been able to write for so long that it feels as though the ability has been stolen from me. Any words I manage to put down feel dull and meaningless—especially compared to you, or the kind of love and admiration that has been, is, and always will be within me. I have carried it with pride, deep within my heart, shielded from the harsh realities of this world. Sometimes it feels like the purest thing I’ve ever known; other times, it feels as though I’ve sold my soul to this love, just to feel anything at all. Believe me, in the darkest times of my youth, it was the light I clung to. It was the hope that, at the end of the line, you would be there—waiting for me, arms wide open, welcoming me into the light with your embrace. "Actions speak louder than...
Poetry On the margins of the First Draft #19 | Acceptance
Part of my poetry collection, Margins of the First Draft — where I write more poetry inspired by my old poetry. Poetry is weird, this piece I actually read many times and thought that wow, it's like from a 19th century play or something. (Authors Note) Acceptance But mother, Can you not see He makes my heart sing My fingers dancing on the keys of an old Dusty Pianoforte, Out of tune And I keep hitting the wrong notes But my heart hums And perhaps, I am A Jester of love But love I do Poetry on the Margins #19 I do To love is courageous, and to admit it even more so. To feel —there's something humanly imperfect, and yetbeautiful, in it. And to think that we don't choosewho we love —love...
Poetry On the margins of the Second Draft #2 | Fragmented Poetry
I have wanted to do this for a while—try something like hybrid writing and mix poetry with reflections on the process itself. Sometimes it’s strange, as my mind tends to get inspired by lines from my old work, and then I write something new. The last Margins came to life in the same way. I read an old poem and then got the idea to add to it. While the emotions in my poetry may sometimes come from real things in life, I have this unusual process of abstraction and a very overactive imagination, which makes even my reflections a product of it. Fragmentation of the mind This is not poetry—this is the mess around it… a girl trying to write, getting distracted by her own thoughts… staring at the...

the Six Sentence Café & Bistro #12 | a Freaky One?
This week's storyline for the Nervous Poet was also sourced from the red-headed writer (aka la Raconteuse). The prompt word—FUNCTION—was provided by Denise, aka the Bartender, host of the Six Sentence Story blog hop. All the stories for the week—within the café and...
dVerse PROSERY #2 |Through the Water
This one was written for the dVerse Prosery prompt. The Line we had to use was: " . . . and the iridescent image swims through a mirror that flows.” by Stanley Kunitz (The Atlantic, 1970) and I used the whole 144 words limit. All the other entries can be accessed...
Ten Thing of Thankful #16 |Blogosphere & Writing
It's time to show my weekly grats' again. A blog-hop that is like no other as it's all about finding the good in life and sharing it with the world… it doesn't even have to be very long or elaborate as mine is to raise one's mood... Seriously though, if you don't...
the Six Sentence Café & Bistro #11 | Is it Tickling or Itching?
As am formatting/editing my this weeks' entry to the sixers pub, I am listening to one of the playlists I created on YouTube Music. Not that it has much to do with the unhinged plot Chris sent me on with her six this week, but I thought I would share it. As always,...
