Part of my poetry collection, Margins of the First Draft—while, yes, we have all gone through a heartbreak or two, it’s rarely as theatrical as those 19th-century plays I was a huge fan of back in the day. Life has a tendency to go on.
The Victorians were a strange bunch, and I think that during this period I was really drawn to their style of writing. Sometimes, it still shows in my newer work.
16.For love to let her go
Oh Dear Lord
At this state,
A knife
Straight into this heart of mine
Would be an act of mercy
Poetry on the Margins #16 Melodrama
This poem makes me want to melodramatically lay on my way-too-modern couch,
with a bottle of red Zinfandel in one hand and a knife in the other,
and bathe myself — and a beautiful wedding gown — in fake blood.
And then,
maybe,
have a picture painted of me.
Sir,
can you paint me
like one of your
French girls?

Perhaps I could invite you to read more of my work:
If you like short stories I have them scooped up into one category (including the six-sentence stories).
Or perhaps I could interest you in poetry and refections or something more personal like the Blog.
I also happen to own an IT studies blog in Estonian and "Chaos in Spring" can be listened to on YouTube, Spotify and other streaming services.
