Poetry On the margins of the First Draft #7

Poetry fragments on a vintage-style open book background with a raven and black cat illustration. The left page reads 'On the Margins of the First Draft' and features the website name 'ofstardustandthebeasts.com' in gothic script. The right page contains handwritten reflections about love, poetry, and the soul, with ink splatters across the parchment, creating a raw, emotional, Victorian-inspired aesthetic.

Part of my poetry collection Margins of the First Draft — Nr 7 was written when I was 14 I believe, at such age I was so serious already and writing about love and desire as if I was an old woman already.

Poetry on the Margins #7 Where the Hunger Lies

I must confess the dirtiest and nastiest confession of my lifetime:
I have a weakness — a weakness of such extent, I am almost blushing while typing it.

I just can't
ever
say no
to chocolate cake and wine.

And I often find myself thinking of you
while I devour.

A vintage-style open book. The left page reads “On the margins of the First Draft” and features a raven and a cat by a candle and skulls. The right page says “Thank you for finding these words & staying for awhile. Please subscribe to be notified upon new arrivals” in a mix of elegant and handwritten fonts.

There's more of my work:

If you like short stories I have them scooped up into one category (including the six-sentence stories).

Or maybe you prefer poetry,, more personal entries can be found at the Blog.

There's also the IT studies blog in Estonian and "Chaos in Spring" on YouTubeSpotify and other streaming services.

OLN #410 (dVerse poetry-hop)

I had trouble coming up with a poem for this week's dVerse Poets Open Link Night, so naturally I blamed the muse for the lack of ideas rather than the fact that I stayed up half the night and expected to write something coherent the next morning while running on three...

Six-Sentence Story #23 (Prompt Word: DUST)

This week I wrote two stories for the Six Sentence Story blog hop: one for the SSC&B collaborative world and this one here because I enjoy writing the mini stories with the restraint of six-sentences. It's cool and sometimes a bit... challenging. The host of the...

Six Sentence Story #3 (Walk-in to the SSC&B)

My third walk-in to the wonderful collaborative world of the Six Sentence Café & Bistro. If you are here for the first time, the prompts for our weekly Six Sentence Story entries are provided by Denise, aka Girlie On the Edge , and at the link-up you can find the...

A five minute poem for dVerse #1

This poem was written in five minutes because of the prompt on the dVerse Poets site, Get Out Your Crayons and Come Color with Me!. Unusual as usually one poem takes me at least a week to write/edit but the description for white gave me an idea... Thank you!...

Ten Thing of Thankful #7 – Another Blog Hop

Time for a new Ten Thing of Thankful post. As tomorrow I am going to my boyfriend's friend's graduation in Viljandi, I am posting a day earlier than usual. This week was cool because I finally went out of my apartment, lol. I have been cooped up in here like a proper...

Six Sentence Story #2 (Walk-in to the SSC&B)

Another week has passed, and we have our Six Sentence Story featuring the Nervous Poet, who accidentally found herself at the Six Sentence Café and Bistro in my last week's entry . The story is a collaborative one, and you can read about the happenings at the café...

Ten Thing of Thankful #6 – Another Blog Hop

Another week has passed and it's Sunday again, so it's time to share my weekly thankfuls for the Ten Thing of Thankful blog hop. This week, I am also adding some photos to the end of the post so you can perhaps have a little peek… into the things I am talking about....

OLN #409 (dVerse poetry-hop)

My third entry to the dVerse Open Link Night for poetry. This piece is perhaps one of the most experimental, visceral, and metaphorically exaggerated poems I've written in a long time. Anyway, as this is a blog hop, I cannot let you begin reading without mentioning...

Six Sentence Story #1 (Walk-in to the SSC&B)

For this week's six sentence story, I was honored to be invited to participate in the world of Six Sentence Café & Bistro with my own character. Honestly, such things make me a little nervous, as I have never participated in any type of collaborative writing...

Ten Thing of Thankful #5 – Another Blog Hop

It was quite difficult for me to find anything interesting to write about for this week as it has been very quiet all of a sudden... I am used to drowning under my responsibilities and I just took time off or something. This week's Ten Thing of Thankful felt a bit...
