Six Sentence Story #15 | Prompt Word: RELAY
This week’s prompt word for the six-sentence story in our community of blog hoppers was really fun to work with. Over time, I had several different ideas circling in my head on how to use it and make the story a bit different from what I usually write. I wanted something a bit funny and more cheerful than my usual writing, but also brutal. I ended up rewriting the sentence several times and then built the rest around it, as usual. Musically, I’ve been listening to various artists with new material out, like Dir en grey and Skynd, for example. I can’t really pick just one song this time, but perhaps “Tamara Samsonova” by Skynd and, umm, “Dicard” by Dir en grey are the ones that I have listened to more than once this week. The original poetry collected here was written and reshaped from my old work a few years ago. I wanted to see how much my writing style had changed after years of not writing. This is also why I wanted to add some new poetry to the original pieces that would perhaps prove to me, that I still have the capacity to write from imagination and be playful.
