TToT, aka the Ten Thing of Thankful (or Ten Things of Thankful), is about finding the enjoyable things in life and sharing your gratitude with all the other participating authors, bloggers, and all. I think the best part of it is actually the sense of community, oneness, and good vibes one gets from participating in it. You can find all the entries at the link-up.

Ten Thing of Thankful #12

First — the six sentence weekly prompts by Denise.

I love reading all the other authors' stories every week and linking up my own. It's a completely different experience from simply writing because there's a community attached to it, and that makes it all the more precious…

Second — Music.

This week I have been listening to a lot of Sólstafir, which is an Icelandic post-metal band. Their music goes really well with the rainy skies we've been having lately...

Fjara, I believe, was the first song I heard from them, and I have been hooked ever since... currently Úlfur is playing and Akkeri right after that... both are on a 2020 album "Endless Twilight of Codependent Love" on which release I was screaming and crying from excitement (because it's not everyday that one of the favorites of favorites releases a new album...)

There is also a really cool live performance by them on KEXP on YouTube that I put on quite often.

Third —YouTube.

I haven't been able to go to many live performances lately, not as many as I would like, and this week there was a stream on YouTube from one of the bands I have been listening to since I was 13. I've seen them live once, but... Anyway, it was the Dir en grey (Duh!), and it began with one of my absolute favorite songs, Vinushka!!! The fan in me just could not contain herself... I was headbanging to the "BTW it's Japanese metal"... alone... behind my computer... lol.

Fourth — Vinyls.

I haven't got many, but I just realized I only have two missing from Persefone (a band I went to see in Hamburg some years ago—I slept in a Polish airport for them, haha). I need Shin-Ken and Aathma, which, funnily enough, is one of my absolute favorite albums. "Living Waves" is such a great song... I cried when they played it live on the Aathma tour...Btw... it's an Andorran progressive death metal band.

Fifth— my portable AC unit.

Even if in this apartment we cannot attach it to the vent (we have it spit the warm air out the window), it works really well. I was doing laundry the other day, and it had been raining for days... it was so humid and hot that the AC was making so much water I had to empty the bucket like five times... But it dried the air and also made it a bit cooler.

Sixth — Instagram.

I found a few new artists to listen to...

I Ya Toyah's "It's No Good" and Ella Red's "I Like You Best" have been on my rotation this week...

Seventh— wine.

My mate was at work from five in the morning until the next day (there was a big event)... anyway, like the sensible girl I am, I got myself a whole bottle of red (Gran Mirador Dark Blend) and played The Elder Scrolls Online the whole day (questing) while listening to my favorite bands. It was a bliss to have a day to myself like that...

Eighth — dVerse Poets Pub.

My poetry has never been very... blog-hop-friendly, digestible, or beautiful in a sense... but it's mine, and it turns out that a few people enjoy it too. At least it's not rotting at the bottom of my drawers anymore because of how dark and raw I feel it is compared to everyone else's... Plus, as with Six Sentence Stories, you get to read a lot!!! YAY.

Ninth — Frozen Pizza and Pelmeni.

As someone who usually enjoys cooking, it may be weird... but sometimes you just need a base...

I always tweak the pizza with salami, jalapeños, cheeses, and so on... but it's so fast to make.

With the pelmeni (almost like dumplings) too, my mate came home from work at four in the morning, ravenous as heck... It took me 10–15 minutes to prepare warm food by just ravaging my freezer... I actually steam them with water, butter, and spices on the pan (paprika and turmeric are a must! And garlic and all that) until the water is gone... then I lightly fry them... and we eat them with sour cream and scallions or chives, depending on what I have.

Tenth— Blogging.

I am not carved out to be an Instagram author or the traditional one who publishes books on paper or Amazon... I love my blog. I made it myself at 4 a.m., with a WordPress installation and Divi (not the one we have now but Divi 4)...

Now there is my own little spot on the wide internet. Nothing like the Tumblr, DeviantArt, or Blogger days, but... I like it more.
