Another week has passed again, and it’s time for a new six-sentence story. This week I did something a bit different… Even if, in my case, the first person was solely used because the third person took away from the story, I think it is something a lot of us can relate to on some level. The hostess of the blog-hop is GirlieOnTheEdge.
Also this week has been very busy as the semester is ending and we have construction at home too. I skipped the TToT last week and unfortunately will on this week too (very important math test on Monday) but after it I will return.
Rules of the hop:
Write 6 sentences. No more. No less.
Use the current week’s prompt word.
The link is live from Wednesday at 6:00 PM until late Saturday night.
Spread the word and support fellow writers!
PROMPT WORD: PUZZLE

Six-Sentence Story - Pieces of a Mosaic
I have found that people are like incomplete jigsaws; with pieces missing from the whole picture,
parts they either hide or have lost — sometimes even malformed, soiled, or splintered.
And you can never know which of those fragments someone conceals around you, and it may not always be done to deceive or to manipulate.
Sometimes we keep parts of ourselves hidden out of need, habit, or shame;
it may also be that some of us learn to hide inside what is expected of us,
performing the behaviors we were taught to fit in or survive.
As Carl Jung said, “The persona is a complicated system of relations between the individual consciousness and society, fittingly enough a kind of mask, designed on the one hand to make a definite impression upon others, and, on the other, to conceal the true nature of the individual.”
But I,
I wanted to reconstruct him,
like my favorite mosaic,
and place him in my catalog of lovers
so that I could trace the jagged outlines
with my mouth.
And my crime is that I still long for someone to look at me the same way and think that the puzzle is worth it
despite the jarring arrangement.

Perhaps I could invite you to read more of my work:
If you like short stories I have them scooped up into one category (including the six-sentence stories).
Or perhaps I could interest you in poetry and refections or something more personal like the Blog.
I also happen to own an IT studies blog in Estonian and "Chaos in Spring" can be listened to on YouTube, Spotify and other streaming services.
