Six-Sentence Story - the Bedroom Experiment
"Do you even have a fricking plan?"
Tom was having a serious problem hiding his annoyance with me as I had taken on the project of redoing our bedroom's layout while asking for help with moving the bed three times: from the centre of the room to the window, across the window, and then had the audacity to ask him to rotate it counterclockwise.
"I will figure it out as we go; I just need to remember where the south, and the north are to know all the others!"
"Stop reading this Feng Chew thing; it's Sunday morning... for God's sake," Tom replied to my requests for help with moving the closet across the room.
"It's Feng Shui," I laughed as I carefully laid the dishwashing liquid on the floor so the closet would be a bit easier to move.
"Besides, you agreed to my antics when you married me!"

Rearranging a room is the most fun one can have with inanimate objects. Of course, furniture has secret powers to alter wall sizes and closet space.
takes mad visualization skills to do it right, thinkin’ Tom might be a bit challenged in that particular faculty. Might be best to surprise him with the finished ‘product’.

whenever I tried to do it it seemed to alter the whole fricking floorplan haha.

Yeah. It’s actually fun I suppose to do these little weird things.
I remember as teenager when my parents redid our house they buried some coins in the concrete, because it’s supposed to bring great luck!

Personally- I have to wonder if most guys have any idea what they have undertaken when they decide to get married! heheheh

Though I am not married I know I have annoyed mine in such ways too for the past 12 years, but that’s the beauty of it I think…
They know, but they never fully realize until the vow’s been spoken!
I am weird, I haven’t married only because I have seen that it makes people lazy in a way they think that all is well or stay because of reasons not related to love.
Maybe one day I will marry as I just love this image of an old couple… but I also like knowing that my other half is here even if he can walk away at any moment and well, given how long it has been we do resemble a married couple.
oh my gosh Reelika that’s hilarious…. men love us women so…. fung chew is a great take… a dear friend of mine set up a mirror in her living room so you could see those coming and going from/to the front doorway… i seriously cracked up… can’t we just go through the door w/o the godz seeing us and analzying the way we walk… geez… of course the sensitivity factor i left at home and had to retrace my day back to the beginning so i could replay that scene a thousand million times in forgiveness mode… now moving the future… same same… after 6 months of moving my living room around six different wayz i am now facing the west and can look out the window towards the west to my hearts content… all day if i so desire in turn off the world buttom… wonderful 6SS… have a great week
Haha, I have a habit of moving my books and small statuettes all the time 😂 good thing that because of the construction they are currently all packed away 😂😂😂

I love this Six, and for a reason you probably won’t guess.
I lived in Hong Kong for six years, and when we moved into our flat the first thing that we noticed was that the corners were never 90-degree angles, and that not one wall was straight — no matter where in the flat, the walls would curve ever so slightly. Hanging pictures was nearly impossible. Positioning furniture against a wall turned into giggles. It wasn’t because the building had a settled or shifted. It was because the local Chinese population is very superstitious and believe in ghosts — and ghosts can only follow a straight line and need a proper corner in order to change direction. With walls that aren’t straight and corners at all weird angles, the ghosts become extremely confused and flee through an open kitchen (usually the one that has a straight pane,… where the nanny or maid sleeps.) Now, I bed you didn’t expect that as comment, eh? (grinning)
Oh wow, no I didn’t expect it at all… I didn’t even know this, how weird considering my liking towards weird superstitions…
I can imagine trying to redo the layout or hanging pictures…
Feng Shui. I am a “believer”, as so much of it makes perfect sense. The other part? Who are we to question a practice thousands of years old.
Your MC & Tom – is there any couple where the man does not scoff at such things, lol? And men – most never seem overly patient when asked to continually help move furniture to various spots until it feels right. Bless those that do 😆
I began moving furniture around frequently during my college years. Same with apartments after that. There’s something very cool about creating a “space” within a space. Besides, who doesn’t love exploring the new perspectives gained when you move the bed somewhere different!
I used to love movinh the furniture and redoing the room…
And men getting annoyed is kinda cute… 😂
Ah, furniture Tetris, and with the added bonus of the feng chew stuff. I hope you get things where they belong.
This whole ordeal is waiting for me … I am currently taking a new quest every time am cleaning. The kitchen cupboards where I hid some of my trinkets being next… I haven’t even made it to the bedroom yet other than cleaning the construction dust and our wardrobes…
