Six Sentence Story | Chaos #2 | Life as a Student

Basically, this part of my Sixes probably won't connect with many people, but it is something I thought would be fun to read back once I have graduated… so this is the other side of me that perhaps isn't very often seen or known by those who read my poetry or creative work. I am tired because I didn't sleep enough this week.. I kinda slept 3-4 hours a day... The weekly prompt is still provided by Denise and all the entries can be accessed through the link-up. The first addition can be accessed on my sixes standalone entries page or through this link. Six Sentence Story | Chaos #2 This week I was so lazy that I only did what was requested of me, and I also seem to have put so much mental energy into my school that I feel as if my creativity is crumbling; I mean, I do have ideas, but I...

a POEM IN SIX #3 | Prompt Word: FIRE | Linked to dVerse OLN

This week I came up with a prose/poem thingie for the six-sentence story hop. The weekly prompt words—this week it's FIRE—are provided by Denise. You can access all the entries and sixers of the week at the link-up. I have also linked it up at the dVerse Open Link Night, where you can find many super talented poets... You can check out their entries at the link-up. FIRE I think I have encountered some burns in my life... At the age of ten, I lit a match—it blew up in my face—and I smelt the flame erase my eyebrows, but it didn't stop me from smoking. Tried to flip a pancake with my fingersand I didn't feel a thing until the skin had melted—three and twenty years later—I still enjoy flipping them on a Sunday morning. Chugged whiskey from the bottle at the age of twelveas the boys cheered...

Ten Thing of Thankful #20 | the Car & Time for Self

Time seems to pass by crazy fast ever since university began again, but that doesn't mean I don't have things outside of it to be thankful for… I did try to get out of my school-mind for this week's entry and also a bit this weekend. All the entries for this blog hop are accessible at the link-up. Ten Thing of Thankful #20 First—our BMW is getting fixed. The sills themselves were not that bad at all (only the edges), but they removed all the under-body lining and everything, and it's getting a whole-arse-overhaul… There were a few nasty surprises(it's an old car), but we have already spent a ton of money on it, so there's no use in not doing it correctly. I also got a lot of photos of the...

Short Story | Goddess in Disguise

In this short story, "Goddess in Disguise," Ella loves fiercely and obsessively, pouring herself into every relationship. She worships her lovers, hoping they’ll stay, but learns a new kind of love from a man who doesn’t fall for her usual charms. This story was also written as a journey of discovering another type of writer in me, before this blog and the Six-Sentence Stories I used to write only poetry. I did dabble in horror and romanticism in my teens, but I never really wrote stories. While reading other blog-hoppers’ weekly additions, I felt that my stories didn’t quite fit, because they never had a strong plot and always leaned toward poetry. Now, however, after returning in 2026, I think it’s not a bad thing to be different from other writers. Perhaps that’s why I stopped trying...

Poetry On the margins of the First Draft #18 | Digging her own Grave

Part of my poetry collection, Margins of the First Draft — this was actually a newer thought or poem that incorporated into this one. I remember the line originated from the Dead Poet thing I had going on and it was supposed to be a part of the Six-Sentence Story but I couldn't connect the thought well enough. (Authors Note) Digging her own Grave " Yes, writing poems about him... was a luxury... I couldn’t afford" Poetry on the Margins #18 I wish Sometimes I wish my writing was more of apunch to the gut, because I amviolent like that. Yet, I feel it's always eithertoo sador too mushy

Poetry On the margins of the Second Draft #1 | Existential Crisis

I haven’t been actively posting poetry or anything for a while—partly because of time, but mostly because I haven’t been getting along with my imagination lately. Too many of my poems were directed at people in my life, and I felt it was better to stay quiet on the blog, as that kind of writing can be disruptive. I had some past traumas I was healing from, and being a poet can sometimes leave you vulnerable if the work is too honest. I truly felt it was too honest to share—unlike the rest of my blog—and that it could have hurt people in my circle. But I feel like I’ve found that spark again, creating from a place that makes my stories feel as if they are deeply personal while still being...

Ten Thing of Thankful #18 | Last Day-off

This is my last Thankful of the summer, so let's see what they will be like starting from next week… I may skip a few if I get very-very busy, but since this hop is so beneficial to my well-being, I will give my best to be a part of it as much as I can. You can join...

These weekly TToT posts have become one of my favorite ways to show my grats', talk about my week, and read about other people's weeks... You can choose to participate or read others' posts at the link-up. Ten Thing of Thankful #17 First—the Six Sentence Café &...

the Six Sentence Café & Bistro #12 | a Freaky One?

This week's storyline for the Nervous Poet was also sourced from the red-headed writer (aka la Raconteuse). The prompt word—FUNCTION—was provided by Denise, aka the Bartender, host of the Six Sentence Story blog hop. All the stories for the week—within the café and...

dVerse PROSERY #2 |Through the Water

This one was written for the dVerse Prosery prompt. The Line we had to use was: " . . . and the iridescent image swims through a mirror that flows.” by Stanley Kunitz (The Atlantic, 1970) and I used the whole 144 words limit. All the other entries can be accessed...
